There are many ways you can support Companies to Classrooms through donations:

1. FINANCIAL DONATIONS are always needed and appreciated to pay the operating expenses associated with running a store and warehouse facility.  We essentially operate a retail store without a cash register so we do not have sales that pay our expenses.  Make a donation personally and ask your company to contribute.  Also - Make sure to ask your company if they will match your donation. Many larger companies do this and your donation is instantly doubled

2. Encourage your employer to become a MONTHLY SPONSOR of Companies to Classrooms (See below for how to become a Monthly Sponsor and the benefits to your organization.)

3. Look around your home or place of business for surplus items that are no longer of use to you.  (See below for Supplies We Accept)

4. Find a good price on school supplies?  PURCHASE NEW SUPPLIES for Companies to Classrooms. There are a few high demand items that we rarely receive from businesses. These include washable markers, crayons, copy paper, filler paper and spiral notebooks. We rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep us stocked with these items. 

SUPPLIES WE ACCEPT

We accept most any supplies and that are new or in “gently used” condition with the exception of computers and other related equipment.  For these items, we recommend contacting Computers for Kids, a nonprofit that specializes in refurbishing working computers and getting them into the homes of children who otherwise would not have access to this type of technology.  You may reach them by email:  computers4kids@earthlink.net.

Examples of what we will take:

Pencils/pens, surplus promotional materials, obsolete letterhead, out-of-date samples, bulk paper, excess office supplies, extra school supplies, children’s books, etc.

MONTHLY SPONSORSHIP OF COMPANIES TO CLASSROOMS

Monthly sponsorships are $5000 and cover our rent, utilities and other operating expenses for one month.  For this contribution, your organization will get: 

1. Listing as the Sponsor of the Month (for the designated month) on all donation lists, in Companies to Classrooms publications and on this website.

2. In-store recognition as sponsor of the month—company can provide banners etc. to display in our store.

3. Active role within the store during your designated month. Employees can volunteer to meet and help teachers during shopping hours.

4. Provide special giveaway promotional items or literature to be distributed at check-out to teachers.
